"The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights" ~ Gloria Steinem
March 8th has been known for International Women's Day since the early 1900's for a number of reasons. On March 8th, 2017 I celebrated my right to take a stand and not work. |

Now I'm not saying that after Trump said "grab her by the pussy" that I've had men actually grab me by my pussy, but it gave people the cojones to openly say many other things. Things that most men wouldn't want their daughters hearing much less said about them. Stop the double standard. Stop objectifying women when you were brought into this world by a women, you lay with women, you marry women, and most of all you have daughters that will someday grow into a WOMAN!

The reason why I participated in A Day Without A Woman is because I plan on having children and I don't want my daughter to have to go through the things that I've gone through. I've been sexually harassed in the work place at more than one company. I've been paid less than a male co-worker while I held a degree, more experience, more sales, and we both had the same job title. When I confronted the company about a raise I was told to sell more and I'd make more.
