I just went on my first cruise! We went to the Bahamas and Atlantis was AMAZING! If you have the chance to take a trip somewhere... skip the boat, jump on a plane and go to hotel Atlantis. Make sure to rent a hotel room if there's more then 2 people in your group. The price for a single ticket is $110.00 per person for the day in Atlantis, but when you get a room you get up to 4 people for a day pass for free. We had 3 people in our group and we didn't know about the hotel room thing until after we got back to the states. It was so much fun though. There was a lazy river, rapids, slides, tunnels, sharks, fish and some really hot guys that work there. Ohh la la! Ohh and Nassau has Starbucks. Now that's a way to make a girl smile.
As for the cruise... well the boat experience was a little different. I got sea sick as soon as the boat left the port. I didn't actually get sick, but man my motion sickness medicine wasn't kicking in. Ohh and even non drowsy Dramamine makes you tired. I passed out for a good 8 hours on the first day. I couldn't believe how tired and groggy it made me. The food on the boat wasn't very good at all. I later found out that Carnival doesn't have the best cruises, but it was okay for the first time.
Writing to Carnival doesn't do anything. They just write you a letter back saying sorry we'll look into it. Well that's great, but you should have said we'll buy you a drink on your next cruise or something. Doesn't anyone know that by spinning a negative comment/situation into a good one is like FREE advertising? Hello!?!?!
Oh well. Hopefully my next adventure will be even more enlightening and fun. I think my next trip is to Las Vegas! Woo Hoo!!!
