I was asked to do a review on Rosehip Oil from Majestic Pure Cosmeceuticals  in return for a free bottle of the product. When I received the Rosehip Oil I wanted to do some research to find out what would make this product better than the rest. The fact that it's cold press makes a world of difference when it comes to the quality of the product. Some of the benefits to using Rosehip Oil can help heal or lighten scars, stretch marks, acne and eczema. It can be used on dry skin to help replenish the body with the moisture that it needs. They say that Rose Hip Oil can help bring body and shine back into color treated hair. Rosehip Oil is often used for aromatherapy, especially for aromatherapy skin care and massage.

For me personally I don't like the smell of Rosehip Oil. It's light, but the smells lingers for too long on my skin. However, I wanted to try the product out on a couple scars that I have and on my hair. I rubbed to Rosehip Oil onto a small scar that I have on my forearm and on my knee. The scar on my forearm is pretty recent and I was hoping that it would make the scar lighten up. The scar on my knee is already light and I was hoping that it would somehow heal the scar some more so it wouldn't be so noticeable when I get a tan.

I found that when I put the Rosehip Oil from Majestic Pure Cosmeceuticals  on my knee it didn't seem to help it, even after a couple weeks of application. The scar on my forearm did seem to lighten up after the first week. I keep applying it daily to my forearm in hopes that it will make it almost disappear. Either way, I'm very happy with the results on my forearm after using the Rosehip Oil.

I also used some of the Rosehip Oil from Majestic Pure Cosmeceuticals  on my hair after I blow dried it. I would wash my hair and put some product in it and then I would blow dry it. After my hair was completely dry and styled I'd put a few drops of the Rosehip Oil onto the palm of my hand and I would rub my hands together. After my hands were covered with a light coating of the oil I would run my hands through my hair to coat the strands. I loved how it made my hair look shiny and healthy, but I didn't feel like it did anything for the body. It didn't weigh it down which is a good thing, because sometimes even Argan oil can weigh it down. This is were I had a problem with the smell. You have to REALLY like the smell of Rosehip Oil because once it's on your hair it seems to stay with you until you wash your hair again. The results on the Rosehip Oil from Majestic Pure Cosmeceuticals  were great, but I personally couldn't do it more than a couple times because of the lingering smell.

I got my Rosehip Oil from Majestic Pure Cosmeceuticals from Amazon, but you should be able to find it at health food stores as well. The 4oz bottle will last a long time if you're only needing it for small areas of your body or for medium length hair. You can find the cost to be around $20-$25.00 a bottle and I would imagine that one bottle would last about 3 months. It's a pretty good deal for the quality and the capabilities that the product offers.

Soon this boom will blow up and we’ll all be using products on our bodies that will enhance our looks instead of detracting over time. The organic products out there today are a bit expensive, but when you think about where it’s going it’s kinda worth it. I mean the skin is your largest organ in your body and it’s the first thing that people see. You want to take care of it and know that you’re putting something on it that’s going to be natural and organic, right?

I’ve tried a lot of the organic products out there and some are better than others. Physicians Formula is a good one to try. They have a line called Organic Wear which is basically 100% free of anything that would be harmful to your skin. The packaging is cool, but for me I like simple packaging and this wasn’t it. I broke off the tip of the mascara within the first two weeks of buying it because I threw it carelessly in my make-up travel kit.

Then there’s Suki which has a nice line of moisturizers, cleansers and make-up, but they’re very expensive. I don’t mind paying about $8 to $10 dollars more for all natural organic products but $20 or $30 dollars more is a little out of my league.

Ohh Coconut Oil, ohh how I love thee! If you haven’t heard the buzz about coconut oil and all the AMAZING benefits it has for health and beauty then you my friend must pay attention. Go get your pen and paper and start jotting down the recipes to living the good life with this miracle product. Thanks to Jenna Marbles for posting her blog and reminding me of what a great topic this was. If you don’t know who Jenna Marbles is please be warned that you may find her vlogs/blogs vulgar, however I find them to be entertaining and direct.

Now for the goods on Coconut Oil and it’s magnificent benefits. My mom clued me in on the stuff when she made what we called “Belly Buster Muffins”. They were these super awesome muffins that had less calories and it used coconut oil instead of vegetable oil to give them flavor and to keep them healthy. I realized how good they were when I brought them into work and more than just a couple people asked me for the recipe. Once I moved on from the muffins I found out more about this incredible oil that people were using not only in their foods, but as beauty and hair care treatments.

I’ve been using coconut oil as a moisturizer on my hands and feet for a while now. I would take a nice warm bath and exfoliate my feet then I would take a nice heaping spoonful and massage it into my feet and hands. Then I’d put some socks on (so I wasn’t performing the next Home’s Funniest Videos scene) and I went to bed. When I woke up my kicks were so stinkin’ smooth I couldn’t wait to show them off in my cutest sandals. After seeing the results with my hands and feet I couldn’t wait to try it out on my hair. As most of you know I don’t use a regular shampoo instead I use Wen which is a cleansing conditioner and I’m very particular what types of products I put in my hair. I ended up taking a couple spoonfuls of coconut oil and massaging it into my scalp and working it down to the ends of my hair. I rolled up my hair into a shower cap and slept on it. When I washed it out the next morning and blow dried and styled it my hair seemed to glisten. It wasn’t oily or weighed down it was just shiny and extremely soft. I loved what it did for my hair.

The more I read on coconut oil the more I realized that people should really be using this daily. It has been known to help people with cravings and weight loss, stress relief, infections, kidney problems, thyroid problems, migraines, etc. The list is about a mile long on the benefits of this product. One of my favorite snacking recipes is my air popped ranch popcorn. Yummy! Since I’m trying to watch my girlish figure I’ve learned that you can turn air popped popcorn into a dieters dream.

What you’ll need:
½ Cup white or yellow popcorn kernels
½ packet of powdered ranch dip
¼ tsp red pepper (optional)
½ tsp garlic salt
3 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 microwaveable glass bowl
1 plastic or paper plate that fits over the top of the glass bowl

Rub a little of the coconut oil around the sides of the bowl add the kernels to the bowl and put the plate over the top to keep the popped kernels from going all over the microwave. Put them in the microwave for about 4 to 5 minutes or so. Make sure to use pot holders to take the bowl out. Mix the coconut oil, red pepper, powdered ranch mix and garlic salt together and then pour it over your popcorn. Make sure to spread it all over the popcorn evenly. Then you can enjoy this low calorie snack knowing that you’re getting a great daily dose of your coconut oil. Let the energy begin and the food cravings be gone!

UPDATE: Here is a picture of my hair after I've used a tiny bit of coconut oil after styling it. My hair has never smelled so good and looked so shiny. I love this stuff!

It's claim to fame is "miracle leave-in treatment" and they ain't lying. I found this product in November 2010 and at the time I was having a lot of trouble with my hair. My diet was making it drab, my stylist had given me a bad cut and a month later I tried the Keratin treatment which fried my hair. While I was wishing for a better product or an act of god to fix my tresses I ended up finding this little miracle in a bottle.

It comes in many sizes, but I've found that the biggest one is where I get the best bang for my buck. I've veered from the directions a bit because it left my hair feeling greasy and weighed down. This product is finicky if not used properly it can make your hair feel greasy and weighed down too.

After I wash my hair with Wen or Ojon I brush it out completely and I pump the product into my hands. NOT INTO MY HAIR! This is important because it sprays a thick layer of product and you don't want to focus on just one area of your hair. I spray 15 pumps in my hands and then rub my hands together. I then flip my hair over and work the product through from the underside of my hair to the tips. Once I flip my head/hair back over I then take 5 to 7 more pumps into my hands and spread it out from the front on down to the tips. I brush my hair again and then I either use more products to finish styling my hair or I leave my hair to air dry with just the It's A 10 product in there. This product claims it does 10 different things and it REALLY DOES all 10 of these. No other product allows me to let my hair air dry without looking like bozo the clown.

*I've also found that typically Ulta sells it in their stores for about $5.00 to $10.00 more then any other place. I usually LOVE Ulta, but I've got to watch my money so I would check out Amazon or Trade Winds.

In between uses of my Wen hair care products I often turn to Ojon. Another great name and product used in my household. Ojon has several hair care products, but my favorites are the Ojon Dry Recovery Hyrdrating Shampoo and Conditioner and the Ojon Dry Recovery Revitalizing Mist.

The shampoo has a low suds effect while applying to your hair. This is typical for a strong moisturizing shampoo as it proves that the product has the oils needed to revitalize your hair. This shampoo in particular has Blue Agave Nectar, Macadamia Oil, Jojoba Oil and Babassu Oil complex that helps restore moisture and smooth roughed-up cuticles to keep hydration sealed in. When you rinse it out your hair will feel a little like straw at first, but you’ll notice that it’s almost making a squeaking noise. That’s because it’s getting your hair CLEAN! Once you add the conditioner you’ll notice that your hair basically soaks it up and makes it feel like you don’t have enough. Since I’m so used to using Wen I tend to be very liberal with all my conditioners and I do so with Ojon as well. The conditioner has the same great healthy oils in it as the shampoo which leaves your hair feeling silky and smooth once it has been rinsed out.

I like to use Ojon once a week in replacement of my Wen. It keeps my hair feeling great and it’s a nice switch up when you need one. The Revitalizing Mist I use all the time. Any time that my hair is looking drab or dull I use the mist to freshen it up and give it a good toss. I go through a bottle of this stuff every month. It’s my go to product when I’m in need of a pick me up for the day.

I have noticed that when I use Ojon shampoo and conditioner people tend to make a face about the smell. Personally I like the smell, but I’ve noticed that men in particular DO NOT. To get around this I usually add a half pump of Sweet Almond Mint Wen to my hair once it’s been towel dried and that covers up the smell of the oils in Ojon. The mist smells good and I haven’t heard any complaints from the male species after using this product. So spray all day!

I've been through the ringer with products and so-called hair care solutions. I've been duped time after time with products that don't do anything that they say their going to do.

My hair is naturally curly and I'm always trying to straighten it out. I color it and bleach it, dry it and fry it and everything else in between. In December I thought I would try the Keratin treatment in hopes to make my hair healthier and straight without having to used a flat iron on it. WRONG! The Keratin treatment that I received was either done improperly or the product wasn't doing what it should. I ended up damaging my already over treated hair and I never thought I would get it back to normal let alone looking healthy.

I tried the Wen Sweet Almond Mint cleanser which I figured couldn't hurt any more then what I had already done. It does take some getting used to the process that's involved in this product. Rinse your hair thoroughly, use 16-32 pumps or more depending on thickness of your hair, scrub, leave in while showering, scrub and rinse out. It seems like a long process, but I assure you it's not. I start my shower off rinsing my hair and then pumping as many pumps as I feel necessary (usually around 25)and I leave the product in while I wash myself, use my clarisonic, shave and exfoliate my feet. Then I add a little bit of water to my hair and scrub the product in some more while massaging my scalp and enjoying the mint smell and I finish by rinsing it out.

Once I get all the product out and I towel dry my hair I usually take a half pump in my hand and use that as my leave in conditioner. Aside from blow drying my hair and maybe flat ironing some ends I don't use anything else.

After 2 months of using this product my hair dresser couldn't even tell that she ruined my hair just a couple months ago. She was astonished by how healthy and shiny my hair was. I even stopped crying at night because of all the hair loss and breakage from the previous treatment. I can honestly say that Wen is my go to product and I use it every other day or when I'm back from a day of volleyball.
