This little gem has made it to my "Best Served" list. While I didn't know what to expect because my friend's planned the food arrangements for this trip, I was pleasantly surprised by this quaint restaurant. The Cru Cafe sits on the corner of Montley Ln and Pinckney Street in Charleston, SC. When you walk up to the restaurant you get the sweet smell of a wood burning stove as you walk up the steps of a beautiful porch decorated with rod iron tables and chairs. As I we walked into the Cru Cafe I noticed that the place was empty with only a couple of tables in the front room and a few more in a room to the side. It was decorated like an old home except for the open window area where you can watch the cooks.

While I realize that a party of six could be a large party for most restaurants I was surprised that we needed reservations for the Cru Cafe being that it was empty when we got there at 11:45am. It wasn't until around 12:30pm that I realized just how busy this place can get. They were turning people down at the door because of how full they had gotten. If you didn't have a reservation you weren't getting in.

As a group of six we decided to order a couple of appetizers to share. We were told by the waitress that their signature dish was the 4 cheese macaroni so we made sure to try it. We also ordered the calamari and White Wine Truffled Mussels along with some cappuccinos for the table. When I got my cappuccino I could have swore that I tasted a hint of orange zest, but when I asked the manager he chuckled a bit and said no. We joked a little about it throughout the rest of the meal. I like a restaurant that can partake in our ridiculous humor.

When we received the calamari it was tall and decorated with thinly sliced carrots, red onions and green peppers. The smell of sweet sesame sauce not only made the calamari smell wonderful, but the taste was light and tangy. This was probably the best calamari that I've had in ages. The signature 4 cheese macaroni was a big hit at the table for everyone except me. I liked that the top was browned and crunchy, but it lacked a little in flavor for me. Maybe it needed more salt or a pinch of mustard powder, but either way my momma's recipe is more inviting. The mussels were the biggest hit for everyone at the table. The mussels were smothered in an amazing Tomato Concassé, Peppers, Marinara sauce that was almost drinkable. Actually to be fair I think one of us did end up drinking a couple spoons full while the others doused their bread in it.

I wanted to make sure that I ordered something from their specials for the day and it was easy for me to decide on the mushroom truffle soup. I also ordered the signature dish Smoked Turkey and Brie Sandwich with a side of Asian slaw. As we were waiting on our meals we could actually smell the mushroom truffle oil as they were adding it to my soup. When it was brought out to the table I had to request 4 more spoons because the bowl was large enough to feed a small army. The texture was creamy with large enough pieces of mushrooms to have a bit of a bite to it. The taste was as luxurious as the smell and each bite had several layers of flavor. It was a blessing when my meal came because I was afraid that I'd get too full on the soup instead of the sandwich. 

The turkey and brie sandwich came with apple chutney and arugula layered between melted brie and thickly sliced turkey. The flavor of the apple chutney enhanced the flavor of the brie which made the whole sandwich taste a little bit better than a whole meal at thanksgiving. The slaw was fresh and had a hint of sesame flavoring which was tangy and sweet. While I enjoyed my sandwich my friends enjoyed the Ahi tuna, B.B.Q. plate, Coconut Fried Oyster Wrap and a few other delightful menu items. At the end of the meal we decided to order the bread pudding as our dessert. It was great, but we had just had bread pudding the night before at Hall's Chophouse and the two were so incredibly different. The Cru Cafe's bread pudding was more traditional with notes of cinnamon and caramel with freshly made whipped cream. The texture was soft and crunchy which gave it a lot of dimension.

The thing I liked the most about Cru Cafe was the inviting atmosphere and the options that could suit just about everyone. We all decided that this was a place that we'd all like to try again maybe for dinner instead of lunch. There were so many great choices on the menu that we almost wished that we had more time to try other options. Cru Cafe is a must try in my book.

What an amazing experience Hall's Chophouse was. From the moment we walked in this place was buzzing around with people enjoying cocktails and servers smiling and saying hello to everyone. Even Bill Hall stopped by to introduce himself to us (about 8 times actually). Hall's Chophouse had a warm classy jazz feeling to it with people of all ages hanging out at the bar and by the live band by the front door.

We came in on a Tuesday night with a reservation for six. Hall's Chophouse was filled to the brim with people eating and drinking and enjoying the music. Standing room only from the moment we walked in. We only had to wait a few minutes before being seated upstairs in a small room which was packed full of people. The table was a half circle booth which made it very hard for all six people to cram into it and even harder to hear everyone. Although it wasn't ideal I will admit that there weren't any other options at the time. The only tables that could handle six or more people were already taken up by other guests. This room was very old world with beautiful pictures and low lighting. We could still hear a slight echo of tunes coming from the band downstairs.

Once we were seated we were immediately given water and the wine list. The six of us decided to order a few appetizers to share and reviewed the rest of the menu. The waitress knew the menu extremely well and her suggestion on the appetizers was perfect. She told us about their amazing crab cakes and oysters Rockefeller so we order a couple for the table. The crab cakes were filled with crab and flavor and could easily have been the best I've ever tasted. It was my first time trying oysters Rockefeller and I didn't know what to expect. The hollandaise sauce and spinach made the oysters Rockefeller very creamy and the bread crumbs added the perfect amount of crunch. Great choices to begin our meal.

Not only does the menu offer a generous selection of beef it also has a lot of seafood options. My friend Vinh and I decided to share the 32oz Porter house with sauteed mushroom and onions on top. For the table we ordered a few sides that are served family style. We ordered the roasted brussel sprouts, broccolini and lobster macaroni. Each were delicious, but the lobster macaroni was out of this world. The brussel sprouts were a little over cooked, but otherwise the flavor was great. Seasoned with bacon and an aioli dressing with cranberries to add sweetness. When our steak came it was perfectly smothered in sauteed mushrooms and onions with enough for us to share and enjoy with each bite. The steak was buttery and almost melted in your mouth with a bit of saltiness from the edges of fat. It was incredible. I only wished that I had left room for more.

For dessert we ended up ordering enough for the table of six to share. We ordered the whiskey bread pudding and the vanilla bean creme brulee. The bread pudding was doused in a very large helping of whiskey that was flavored throughout the sauce and within the layers of the bread. The dried cherries helped intensify the flavor of the whiskey and the pecans brought out the flavor of the cinnamon in the bread pudding. It was a huge serving and it could have easily fed all six of us at the table. The Creme Brulee came was pretty typical and it was cooked to perfection. The sugar wasn't burnt and the flavor wasn't eggy. I will say that although it tasted like a creme brulee should taste it didn't have any distinctive flavors or aspects that spoke to me. I would probably stick to the Whiskey Bread Pudding or I'd try the chocolate layered cake next time.

Overall the place and experience was one that I won't forget any time soon. This place would be perfect for an anniversary, date or birthday celebration. I never ran out of water and even though we weren't being pressured all the time for drinks, there was always someone there when you needed them.

I have eaten here so many times I can't even count. Every time I visit my parents we are always hopping in the car and driving up to The Loop to grab some Bonefish Grill. We love Bonefish Grill because we can't get enough of the fresh tuna sashimi.

This is one of the better locations, because it has a ton of shopping available and plenty of parking. We're always treated so well here and I love that all the servers are dressed to impress. We have never had a bad experience here that they didn't fix right away. Once I had some sashimi that was a little too overcooked for my blood and they immediately got me a new order. You really can't beat that type of service when you go to a place all the time.

My mom always gets the house salad, wontons and bang bang shrimp. My dad and I always get the same thing, house salad and tuna sashimi with extra ginger. Honestly it's the best I've ever had from ANY restaurant. I'm typically the only one that gets a mixed drink and I always try to pick their seasonal drinks. They make an incredible Cold Snap Blackberry Frost that's served in a glass made out of ice.

I love going to visit my parents because of our trips to Bonefish Grill and the time that we get to spend together chatting in a relaxing environment. Once we leave it's back to our hectic lives.

Holy Cow! Or should I say, "Holy organic, GMO and preservative free, locally grown deliciousness"!? It was just like taking a trip down the rabbit hole, but it tasted better and I wanted to live there. Forever. I'm sure when you think of rabbits and food together you're thinking lettuce and carrots with maybe a side of bean sprouts, but this place did what Alice did in Wonderland and fell through a magical hole only to be left with wonderment.

Let's just paint the picture shall we? On my visit to California to see my sister she suggested that we go get something healthy at this place called The Rabbit Hole Cafe. After thinking what most people do when they think of rabbits and food (see above) I was more than just a little disappointed. The night before I had a crappy meal and I needed something that was going to be hearty and comforting, like meat and potatoes.

Upon pulling up to this place I noticed the outdoor seating in the front of the place. There were just a few tables outside and although The Rabbit Hole Cafe is in a small shopping strip the outdoor seating made the strip feel a little more inviting. When we walked in we had trouble paying attention to seating ourselves because there was a ton of cute little things for sale in the front. They had a little bit of everything from baked goods to jewelry and trinkets. It was an adorable set up and to the right was a sitting area that had a hodge podge of seats and tables. The walls had pictures and murals of characters from the book 'Alice in Wonderland'. Overall, it had a very rustic and warm feeling which helped me get in the spirit of my rabbit food meal that I was about to eat.

When we sat down at this very large wooden table and I looked over the menu I knew that this place was going to be good or it was going to fail miserably. Often times when I see things on the menu like vegan cheese sauce, quinoa or sweet potato muffins I'm displeased with the muddled flavors and the overuse of spices. The menu had so many options to choose from. They offered soups and wraps, comfort foods and sandwiches, salads and quinoa bowls and much more. While the menu had so many things to choose from I took a chance on something I would NEVER have ordered anywhere, just to see how crazy this concoction would be. My sister stayed pretty simple and ordered something she had tried before.

I ordered the Eggless Benediction Bowl which is described as the following ' Two organic fried chickpea patties topped with our exclusive organic Portobello bacon and fresh organic spinach on bed of brown rice quinoa, smothered in our homemade vegan cheese sauce with lemon.' While my sister ordered the Rabbit Hole Bowl which is described as 'A wonderfully yummy and nutritious bowl of quinoa brown rice layered with grilled sweet potatoes and caramelized onions, topped with crispy fried kale and a peanut, ginger lemon dressing'. She also decided to order the sweet potato muffins just to prove a point that starchy sweetness can be transformed into a fluffy muffin without tasting like a rock.

We had to go to the front to place our order which was the only drawback to this place. I was finally in a comfortable spot and taking in the ambiance of the decor and aroma from the kitchen and I was bummed when I had to stop being lazy and get up to place my order. Once the order was placed it only took about 10 minutes or so when our plates were delivered to us by two servers.

The smell of the sweet potatoes and mushrooms wafted by when they set the bowls down. My sister offered up a bite of hers first before I tried mine. Hers had a sweet and salty flavor that was so delicious that I thought I might want to trade dishes before I had even tasted mine. The quinoa brown rice mixture was cooked to perfection and the sweet potatoes had a crispy outer layer that gave them an almost buttery flavor. The crispy kale was salted just enough to tone down the sweetness of the sweet potatoes and the hint of ginger. It was pumping me up to try my own dish.

When I tasted my dish I did so without adding the lemon at first. I found that the chickpeas and vegan cheese sauce took care of that comfort food that I longed for. The spinach was fresh and helped hold my bites of quinoa and portobello mushrooms together. The mixture was incredible and I wouldn't have given it up to anyone. The saltiness of the portobello mushroom chips enhanced the flavor of the vegan cheese sauce while the chickpea patties gave me a flavors of a nutty potato. It was amazing how well everything was prepared and crafted in this one dish. Let's just say that I left no rabbit holes unturned when devouring this dish.

Ohh and as for the sweet potato muffin, it was fluffy and light and even tastier than I had imagined. I would say that my sister won that argument, but really I feel that we were both winners in this situation. I will however, take my hat off to The Rabbit Hole and their extremely polite staff for changing my mind about what rabbit food could taste like. I always knew that it could taste this good, but I haven't found anyone who could show me how it could be done.

This will definitely be a stop on my food travels that will go down in the books as "Best Served"!

This is a pretty decent place to have some Mexican food here in Tarpon Springs where the Greek blood runs thick. It's hard to find anything other than Greek food and Seafood in Tarpon Springs. This location is nice because it has a large parking lot and it's large enough to see from the busy 19N Rd.

When my neighbor Linda and I went in here it was around 6:30 which is prime dinner time for the snow birds around here, but it seemed a little empty. This made me a little nervous considering Tarpon Springs is a hot zone for tourists especially around dinner time. The waiter that we had was pleasant and helpful, but not very social. He was there when we needed him and everything came as it should, but he didn't say much to us at all. This isn't a complaint considering she and I went to dinner to talk shop, but merely an observation.

When we sat down we were given a huge bowl of chips and a spicy salsa that wasn't chunky at all. My neighbor had been here before so she knew to ask for a mild salsa. This salsa came and it was chunky and warm and seasoned more like a marinara sauce. Both of us like that sauce much better.

She ended up ordering something called Pollio Fundido which was delicious. She said that it's the only place around that will make it. Pretty much it's a fajita without being all cut up. It comes as a whole chicken breast with green peppers, onions and cheese on top. Then it has a side of rice and tortilla shells to use.

I'm boring and I just ordered the fajitas because I couldn't kick the craving. I asked for my peppers and onions to be cooked very well which they did perfectly. The seasoning on mine was delicious and not too oily. I've had a lot of fajitas in my day and most of the time the chicken and vegetables are overly oily or under seasoned. This was not the case here.

When our meal came we both ate about half of the meal and decided to take the rest home. Their portions were a little bit bigger than most Mexican restaurants that I've been to.

They had a list of desserts, but I have to say that we couldn't even look at that portion of the menu after eating so much food for dinner. I will definitely come back to this place the next time I'm craving Mexican.

Today I was Boca Raton and there was a ton of places to choose from in this area. While I looked on Urban Spoon for a selection of places I realized that almost everything in the area was more expensive then back home. Finally I found something that sounded healthy and fair in price. Meza Mediterranean Grill & Bar in Boca Raton sits in a little shopping center with other eateries available just doors away. I was surprised to see that when I walked in at lunch time it wasn’t busy at all. Usually it’s not a good sign if the parking lot is packed and there is no one in your restaurant around lunch time, however I wanted to give it a try.

I was greeted at the door and seated wherever I like by a waiter named Robert. He had a smile on his face and he took my drink order immediately and he told me to ask if I had any questions about the menu. At first glance I felt that I was just sitting in another dinner or deli style restaurant, but after looking around I realized that this was a place to come at night. They are set up for live music, there’s a covered patio where you can choose from a huge selection of hookah and they even have belly dancers on weekends. The décor inside is mainly a mural painted on the walls that makes you feel like you’re in another country and then simple neutral colored booths and chairs. The bar is in the back and although it doesn’t seat many people it looks inviting.

With the lamb kabob sandwich you are offered French fries or Greek salad. Based on my choices I opted for the Greek salad. It came as a chopped salad with pickled beets and fresh feta. When I say fresh feta I mean it was fresh and delicious. The lamb kabob sandwich came perfectly wrapped up in pita bread and tin foil for those who are messy. It was filled with lamb, tomatoes, red onions, feta, tahini sauce and lettuce. The lamb was tender and moist and cooked to perfection with some seasoning that I couldn’t seem to put my finger on. Either way it was a delicious addition to my already amazing meal. I ended up taking three boxes of food home with me, just from the leftovers of this meal. I can’t wait to enjoy it for a second time as I’m sure it will taste just as good. Overall my experience with Meza's Mediterranean Grill & Bar was far superior to any local Greek restaurant we have in the Tarpon Springs area. I might even go as far as saying this is probably the best Mediterranean food I've ever had.

I would like to point out that in other reviews someone had mentioned the service being bad and I would like to say that things may have changed since then. The ipads that they mentioned are still being used, but they aren’t being brought to the table. My waiter took my order and went back to the bar to type it in the ipad. I did witness someone cleaning off a table which was right next to me and I didn’t smell any bleach once he was done. Maybe they saw your review and changed up some of the ways they handled business, which in my opinion is a great way to take constructive criticism. They did a wonderful job of checking in on me and they gave me plenty of attention during the course of my meal.

One of the things that I like about their menu is that there’s a description of the food and ingredients next to the original name. Being that I have tried a lot of Greek food before I wanted to see how they were different from the local Tarpon Springs area. I ordered the Middle-Eastern Sampler which came with a large portion of hummus, eggplant dip, grape leaves and Falafel. It was served with a side plate of pita bread for dipping and the Falafel was sitting on a bit of lettuce and cucumbers which worked well for dipping. The food was amazing! The eggplant dip (eggplant hummus) and the grape leaves were my favorite. The flavors in both were so unique and fresh, I could tell that I was eating a meal from a recipe that came from a traditional Mediterranean family. When I asked Robert about the dish he confirmed that these meals came from the mother’s recipe box. The grape leaves were made fresh and the eggplant dip was made earlier today. The Falafel didn’t look as appealing, but the taste was incredible especially once it was dipped in the tahini sauce. After taking a few bites of everything on my plate I asked Robert to tell me what his favorite meat plate was on the menu. He told me that I couldn’t leave without trying some lamb.

I was a little pessimistic about trying out this restaurant especially after all the blog reviews on it. There were so many bad ones with all the same type of comments "too expensive", "the food wasn't good" and "the service sucked". Needless to say I was nervous to even try Eggstyle because of these reviews, but my friend was adamant about having me try it.

We ended up going on a weekday which kind of gave Eggstyle a fair shot of impressing us with their food. Although I agree that food should be good at any time that you visit, breakfast is one of the hardest meals to make when there are extremely hungry people in line on a busy weekend morning. This being said the place was almost empty. Aside from two tables that were both almost finished with their meals we were the only ones being seated. We didn't have to wait at all and the waiter was extremely pleasant.

While getting a quick walk through as we were being seated I noticed that they had a juice bar to my left with two top tables for those that are just getting a quick bite and there was a full seated restaurant area ahead. We were seated at a booth near the kitchen and immediately our waiter got our drink order. Looking around I noticed that everything was bright and cheerful. Eggs were definitely a theme in this restaurant, not by egg decor rather the color of eggs and other breakfast foods. The restaurant was very well lit and it gave the appearance of a posh restaurant while still maintaining the family breakfast atmosphere. It was really nicely decorated and very clean.

While my friend had her order already at the tip of her tongue I had to glance at the menu and choose something in fear she might stab me with a fork unless I chose quickly. (I'm kidding, she just really likes this place). I was surprised to see all the amazing foods that they had to offer. Nothing was ordinary and each item had a unique twist. One item that stood out for me was the Pears and Brie Blintz. While it's described as being a crepe with fresh pears and brie I was surprised to find that it was covered in a delicious caramel and confection sugar topping. At the time I was ordering it I was watching my diet and trying to be a little bit good. However, once this masterpiece came out my diet went out the window and I almost didn't even take a picture of it because I wanted a bite so badly. My girlfriend ordered the Sandwich Surprise which even the waiter knew what she was going to order because she had been there before. This sandwich was described as Egg, Ham, Swiss Cheese French Toast sandwich dipped in their batter and topped with fresh fruits and English Cream. (Stating the obvious, this would be an item I KNOW wouldn't make my diet list). Not only did this item look amazing it tasted better then you could imagine. One of the reasons why this friend and I call ourselves friends is because we can share food without even asking. My fork was on her plate and hers on mine as soon as I put the camera down. My pears and brie crepe tasted fresh and hearty with a bit of sweet flavor due to the diet damaging toppings that were to die for. Her French Toast sandwich had so many flavors going on it was hard to determine what part I liked the most.

Although many reviews marked this restaurant as a disgusting mess I would challenge any other breakfast restaurant to come up with these amazingly flavorful dishes. How hard is it to put a spin on crepes or a Monte Cristo recipe? I realize that everyone is entitled to their opinion (and we all know that I've had my fair share of bad opinions), but seriously this place needs to be given a second chance for those that didn't like it the first time. A good breakfast restaurant is going to be a little more expensive because each dish is a masterpiece and not a precooked production house like many of the breakfast houses out there.

This restaurant is going on the Best Served list on my blog. I would gladly go back to this restaurant and wait in line if I had to. You can find more of their amazing food selections here on their menu.

Diet or no diet everyone needs to try some food from Lenny's. I was meeting a friend here for breakfast and she picked out this little restaurant. When I pulled up quarter til' nine in the morning and the parking lot was full I knew I was in for a treat. After battling it out with a few other cars and pedestrians just to find my parking spot in the back of the lot I was happily greeted at the door. A man who took the time to say hello to me through a sea of people waiting for seats. When I told him that my friend was going to be late he said that I should sit at the counter and get a drink. Who's going to say no to that when by the looks of this line you would think you're about to go on the new Harry Potter ride at Universal Studios. (If you haven't waited in that line before I suggest you bring an ipad with the movie Titanic on it.)

_Anyways, back to breakfast. I'm seated at a very old style diner bar and greeted by a woman who is anxious to get me my first beverage. She rushed by and says "whatcha want to drink darlin' I'll be right back with it". When she returns with my drink and a menu she informs me that the special of the day is Banana Nut Bread French Toast. Ummm if it weren't for having to do a review I would have handed her back the menu and said "BRING IT", but for the sake of the review I figured I should at least glance at the menu. Plus how rude would it have been if I didn't at least attempt to wait for my friend. I take this precious time to talk with Joanne (my server) and I asked her about some of the items on the menu. Joanne informs me of at least seven different menu items that she swears is to die for. Items such as the Redneck Benedict, Portabella Mushroom Benedict, Pumpkin Pancakes (seriously... pumpkin pancakes!), The Kitchen Sink, Biscuits and Gravy and the list goes on and on. All of it sounds amazing, but I had to know what Scrapple was. "Joanne, what is this on the menu... Scrapple?" Joanne gets a funny smirk on her face and she says "Well I've never tried it myself, but a customer once told me that it's everything that's left of the pig after they make hotdogs." After picking my jaw  up off the floor and swallowing that little bit of vomit that came up I decided that was the best description of what I don't ever want to eat in my life. Thanks Joanne I'll let you know what I want once I get my appetite back.

While I was waiting on my friend I started to take some pictures of the atmosphere. This restaurant is home of the Phillie fans and any other baseball memorabilia that you can imagine. They also have a sense of humor when it comes to decorating. Things like clocks on the wall that tell the times for other countries and cities. Clearwater being the correct time while Largo time is an hour early. I'm assuming that's because people in Largo always seemed to be late to things. Then they have a clock that has Iraq for the name, this clock is all torn up and burnt as if a bomb hit it. Then there's the menu which has a section of ladies names and a description of their meals. Like the lady Nicola which includes 3 slices of French toast made with Belgian Raisin Rounds. Love the concept. My favorite was the section "For the VERY young at heart 55 & older (7 forms of ID required)" Too funny. From top to bottom this place has character and I can see why so many people stand outside in the long line just to eat here.

Once my friend arrived she and I decided to order family style. She ordered something that we both wanted and so did I. She ended up getting the Nicola with a Little Cliff (biscuits & gravy) while I of course ordered the Banana Nut French Toast and a side of Canadian Bacon (which I usually don't like, but today was an exception). When the meal came I found it easier to just piece together my meal on one plate and take a picture for you. The BNFT was moist and sweet with plenty of nuts. It was a little hearty for my taste, but I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. Then I tried the original Belgian Raisin Round French Toast which was the perfect consistency of sweet and french toast like. Neither toasts needed a syrup or butter (nor did my thighs). I had a small bite of the biscuits and gravy and I have to say I thought they were perfect. My friend felt that they weren't as spicy or peppery as she would have liked. Overall I felt the food was good. I can't say it was amazing, but it's probably because we mainly had bread products with lots of sugar and we should have tried one of the Eggs Benedict. There's always next time and I will say that based on the service and atmosphere alone there will definitely be a next time.

Every once in a blue moon a restaurant can shock me. Just a couple of weeks ago I went to a free concert in the heart of Clearwater. While walking around and sipping some free samples of wine my friends and I fell upon this adorable organic/gluten free place. As most of you know I’m not really the gluten free type, so I wasn’t too keen on trying this new place. Then someone handed me another glass of wine and I was off to try this new gluten free place.

It’s called GreenOrganix Restaurant & Emporium and it was delicious. Not only was it clean and friendly atmosphere, but the smell is delightful. Our waiter was very receptive and he understood my concern about the menu items all being gluten free. He helped my girlfriend and I choose what items to try. Amazing! I love when the wait staff has enough pride in their own cooks to offer up their most flavorful foods. Spring rolls and chicken salad it is!

When the spring rolls came they were fresh and colorful and perfect for two people. So my friend and I shared them. Not being a fan of sauce I decided to try mine without the sauce that was offered. Big mistake. I took one bite and was scared to take another, until my friend told me to try it with the sauce. Holy cow is that good. Somehow it completely transformed the roll. Then our chicken salad came. Mine with a ranch type sauce (nothing like real ranch) and my friend with a Greek sauce. Both were absolutely to die for and I almost wished we hadn’t split the chicken salad. It was so moist and delicious that we both finished our salads in 5 minutes flat.

To sum it up… this place was a two thumbs up for both of us. I would definitely go back again the next time I’m in the area. It had a pleasant glow to the atmosphere, great food, and great service. So the next time you’re gallivanting through Clearwater and you want something that serves beer, wine, and refreshing food stop into GreenOrganix Restaurant & Emporium. Well worth it!

As Courtnnie and I were waiting on some friends to join us for drinks we stopped by a new place to eat. Go figure right! More food. Yeah and on that note my diet is working pretty well considering I’ve lost 10 lbs in three weeks and I’m getting some muscle tone going. Woo Hoo. Okay tangent.

Food. Courtnnie. Friday. And we’re back. So we stopped by this new place called Broadway Deli & Café. Holy amazing goodness wrapped up in a great atmosphere, awesome owner and some even more amazing Cubans (the food not the people). I must remember to take my father here for a Cuban after a long day of helping me fix some plumbing and yard stuff (mens' work). We walk in and we’re greeted by the owner who asks us “what do you feel like eating because I’ll make you anything”. Tangent coming… NEVER tell me that you will make me ANYTHING because I definitely put you to the test. My tastes often vary like a screaming toddler at Ben & Jerry’s for the first time. Since this is a deli place I shoot from the hip and go for the most odd ball thing I felt like at the time. “Chocolate Chip pancakes mmmmm” I said. “You GOT IT”. I’m sorry come again? What?

That’s right had I let myself indulge in some chocolate chip pancakes and a hangover from hell he would have made them for me. Apparently Keith (the owner) feels that everything that can be dipped in chocolate should be dipped in chocolate and he actually has chocolate chip pancakes on the morning menu. Good man!

Needless to say I had already had a few samples of wine from the wine tasting that we were experiencing before the night of drinking with friends so I opted for something a little more wholesome. A Cuban. Yum. Since Courtnnie and I knew that we’d be drinking we ended up splitting one but both of us loved it so much we came back the next day for another one. See what happens when you get two girls excited about food and giving us whatever we want. Geez and I thought a man’s stomach was the way to his heart. Take notes boys.

This place is filled with amazing sandwiches, fresh fish, salads, and more. It’s clean and cheerful inside with some beautiful photographs by a local artist. It’s fits right into the look and feel of Dunedin shops. Outside you can enjoy the patio with your friends or pets or smoking buddies or whatever. I’ll be the one manhandling the Cubans inside while watching the artsy folk paint pottery next door. It looks so tedious all that painting of pottery.
