I'd love to wake her ass up at the crack of dawn and go get a Blueberry Multi-grain pancake with her at IHOP as a birthday breakfast. Then I'd take her yard saling followed by grabbing cupcakes at our favorite cupcake place in Palm Harbor. Then we'd go play with the kitties and puppies at the shelter and we'd both talk about how we wish we could adopt them all. (Actually I'd be saying "are you done yet? These dogs are so loud. Let's go play with the kitties again") Then we'd go get some 'cooked' sushi, drive by our future pink house, wear our hulk gloves while driving a car and then see a comedy show. Ohhh but we'd totally dress up as if we were going to a ball and then take a million selfies before we showed up at the comedy show. I'm tearing up as I write this. But I'm so incredibly proud of the choices that she made in life. Her life overall was not an easy one and yet she pulled up her big girl pants and made it through. Growing up in a small town in Florida and having only been out of state on a handful of occasions and then moving to Alaska with a NEW man/husband must have been scary for her. She did it with a smile and the willingness to enjoy the adventure. She packed up everything she owned and said YES to love! Hauling all her stuff and her new husband in a vehicle which made its way across country and somehow managed to make it to Kodiak Alaska. Have any of you ever looked at where KODIAK ALASKA is? Look that shit up and tell me that wouldn't be scary as hell when you've only lived in Florida your whole life. You know those shows with the fishing boats and the big waves... Deadliest Catch... Yeah Kodiak is one of their docking locations. Her married life. She married a great guy and I couldn't be happier for the two of them. He came from a family of Coast Guards and he followed in his father's footsteps and became one himself. When I was there I saw how much love they had between them. While I was up there we were celebrating Courtnnie's pregnancy. It was exciting to think that Courtnnie was going to have a baby. When I got back to "the lower 48" (as they would say in Alaska) I talked to Courtnnie everyday of her pregnancy. Learning through her experience the trials and tribulations of being pregnant. Ohh and being pregnant in Alaska seems a whole lot harder. Unlike the lower 48 where you can choose your doctor or request a specific one, in Alaska she had 5 doctors and they rotated them on purpose so you never got used to just one.

Once she had her bundle of Joy she showed me how much sleep a girl can miss out on before looking like Ursala. She was not only dealing with sleepless nights, but Wyatt (baby boy) loves to hear his own screaming voice. She'd be on the phone with me and I think I had to ask her what at least 20 times during each conversation. Courtnnie is a trooper. She continues to amaze me with all the things she manages to deal with on her own. No family, no long time friends, just her and her husband making their way through a first time marriage and child.

I miss this girl so much and although I can't be their for her 26th birthday (damn you're old) I will be their in spirit. Holding her hair back when she drinks too many shots. Laughing when she stumbles on the sidewalk with nothing in her way. And taking random pictures with random Russian men for no reason at all. Ahhh the good times. Well I suppose I will have to wait until you move back down to Florida to start our yard saling adventures again. I love you girl! My sister had a QVC show with Jeanne on Thanksgiving and the show was done on location at Jeanne’s home in Florida. In my family we always try to have Thanksgiving together, but over the past few years our family has been so spread apart geographically that it’s almost impossible anymore. During this time I hadn’t seen my sister in quite a while and it meant everything to me to go visit her in Florida and experience this Thanksgiving with someone that meant so much to her (Jeanne).

I remember pulling up to the hotel where my sister had already arrived a few hours before me, and knocking on the hotel room door. My sister was inside ready to give me a huge hug and kisses down my peach fuzz nose (inside joke). She was so excited that she could be with someone in our family on Thanksgiving and I was happy to be somewhere warm during the cold winter months. We had an early morning at Jeanne’s house the next day so my sister and I decided to sit in the room and watch tv. A knock at the door arrived and it was the hotel with a tray of treats and drinks sent by Jeanne as a welcome gift. It was a beautiful display and just a wonderful gesture from someone that I didn’t even know at the time and who was inviting us to her home the following day.

On Thanksgiving we pulled up to this amazing house where people were scurrying around to get set up for the show and for the dinner. As you walked into this house you felt like you were home. It had a beautiful cinnamon apple smell and a yellowish gold glow throughout. A Christmas tree was already set up by the fireplace lit up and decorated to Jeanne’s taste. Every piece of furniture and picture was inspiring. The whole vibe throughout this home made you feel like you should be smiling or asking people if they need help. Not a soul around was in a bad mood. You couldn’t possibly.

After meeting Jeanne and her family and seeing how close they were. Then I saw her relationship with my sister and I felt like she had been a part of our family for years. It made me realize that one person can make their lives so optimistic and inspiring that you no longer need anyone’s approval. When people enter your beautiful, positive, kind world they won’t have any choice but to be beautiful, positive, and kind themselves. Jeanne blessed so many people with a feel good positive attitude that you couldn’t walk away feeling bad for yourself. With all of her inspirational words and thoughts, my sister would always tell me how nice it was to see Jeanne at QVC and be uplifted by such a good friend. Someone who truly believed in her and everything she stood for. Jeanne knew my sister was sad to miss out on Thanksgiving with our family and so she decided to bring a family member to her. It made that connection between me and my sister even stronger. Jeanne knew that by bringing me out to see my sister and allowing us to connect at her house my sister’s mood would skyrocket and our connection after the dinner would be magnetized. Thank you Jeanne for being you and always connecting people together. The lesson that you’ve taught us will travel from family to family and you will always be remembered for the love that you gave.

Love good music... This being said many of the folks that are already extremely popular that I love would be artists such as Jack Johnson, Joe Purdy, Ike Reilly and Joshua James. Surprisingly he’s not as young as most of these new artists but his voice would beg to differ. It’s clean and young sounding and could easily make any girl fall in love with the next man they meet after listening to one of his albums. Check out some of his music and let me know if it gives you butterflies in your stomach or that pep in your step. Or maybe you have someone that sounds even better… share the tunes and send them my way. This guy had a booth outside on the strip of Las Vegas, NV. He's almost impossible to miss with the mass of people that surround him to watch as he works on his masterpieces. Each piece being an original that takes less then 7 minutes to make and though they have similarities none are the same color or design. Starting his day around 7pm and working into the wee hours of the night jamming to his music and collecting tips in a hat like a street performer, rain or shine he is there.

What blew me away was the vibe that I got when I walked towards his booth. Everyone was so amazed by his work and the upbeat music that he blares as he waves his spray cans through the air. Not forgetting his OSHA laws he makes sure to mask his face and recycles while he paints. Using what looks to be my last invoice for my oil change last month or something of the like he manages to get the fine details needed to conclude the design.

What inspires me about this guy is his mindset. Who would have thought to make their art using spray cans and recycled frisbees and paper? He gets to do something that he loves, while listening to his choice of music, at night when the cool crowd is out, and he has an audience to applaud him when he's finished with his work. HELLO! Mc FLY! Why didn't I think of that?

The finished piece! :-)
